You can use Power BI Desktop to create report(s) and a Power BI subscription (Pro) to 'share' reports and dashboard. The free subscription can also be used to create dashboards, but without sharing.
You can use the PBI connector for Business Central to connect to BC and import data using the API, but imho it's much better to create good, fast, scalable, dedicated queries using the development environment, otherwise your report will become: slow and complex to maintain.
BC can embedd Power BI reports published to the default workspace.
And fyi, you can't have 'best' and 'quick' in the same sentence when it comes down to creating customized reports. Quick is possible, but that won't be fast/scalable/good. 'Best' takes time to think about and create good queries, a data model and report(s) and dashboards.
