How to stop outlook contacts from syncing up to CRM and to phone

I have CRM 2016 on prem, and it seems like contacts in outlook are being automatically created in CRM and they are getting synced over to the users phone. Is there a setting to turn this off?

Hi USA80,

You could go to Settings > Email Configuration Settings.

choose 'None' under the 'Appointments, Contacts and Tasks' options like below screenshot:

Please note that in addition to Contacts, Appointments and Tasks will also not automatically sync with Outlook.

Open CRM outlook app setting and off two way sync between CRM and Outlook contact.
