Hello,

I have many custom entities for that I need to change primary field, I already know creating workflow that will update values of primary field by coping it from different field. But I don't want to do that. Is there any way to change primary field of custom entity after it has been created?

The primary field always remains the same. However you can mark other fields as alternate keys to keep uniqueness.

After it has been created, the only changes you can make to the primary field metadata are to change the size, or change the requirement level

Hi

You cannot change it after creating it. You can use other fields as keys.

Hi Ashish,

are you trying to change the name of the primary field (that would not be possible), or are you trying to change the value stored there?

If it's the value, you can use a workflow, you can use excel export/import, you can use SSIS.. what's wrong with the workflow?

I need to change primary field to different field only. any how (for e.g export entity -> delete -> import entity) it is possible than it is very much helpful for me as I have many entities for that I need to change primary field.
