Automatically filing bakcorders

Does anyone know if GP or a 3rd party software is available to automatically fill backorders?  I run a back order process every month when we receive our big shipments but sometimes when returns are created, we actually have the product to fill backorders but we dont until the end of the month.  Just curious if they can automatically be filled.

Thanks

I think, this is out of box in GP. This possible by from any 3rd party products or customization. Better use the product which you have.

    Hope this helps!!!

Do you happen to know how I could do this with GP out of the box?

    Thank you

There are many 3rd party products are available for importing/creating transactions into GP.

But, I would suggest you to create a  custom application from eConnect for Back Orders(Sales Transaction Entry for Back Orders) and scheduled the custom application into your server task scheduler for monthly basis.

Second option is Integration Manager. You can also import/create the Back Orders into GP through this tool. But, this is not automation process. Every month you need to manually run this tool to create the Back Orders into GP.

If you need any helps regarding the same, don't hesitate to contact me.

    Hope this helps!!!

When we were on GP 10 we purchased Advanced distribution module for GP, that would do exactly that - allocate product to orders (move from backordered to filled) if you have available inventory. Since than we went with separate WMS and moved to GP2013, which has different licensing structure, so I'm not sure how that works now.
