AX 2012 Management Shell deploying report with wrong Report Config

Hi Friends,

We have configured 2 Report servers in 2 machine(1 for PROD Test, another for DEV test). When we deploying the reports via Management shell, it getting PROD RS Config and deploying instead of DEV. Initially DEV test RS configured with PROD env then we newly installed a dedicated RS to PROD test env in another machine and pointed to that. Now DEV test RS is configured with DEV env only.  I have restarted AOS, RS Service and tested the connection and settings but didn't get why this is happening.

Note : While deploying reports using Test user account, Management Shell working fine against DEV env and RS, while deploying with Admin user account, the same Management Shell working against PROD env and RS.

please share your valuable comments.

Thanks in advance......

    Hi,

You can deploy reports to the specific AOS by using attribute to command

    Publish-AXReport –servicesAOSname AXServer –servicesAOSWSDLPort 8102

you can find AOS name on AX server utilities on control panel

    Thanks for the suggestion Darshan,

I knew about this but I want to run the power shell with default RS configuration. Initially my DEV env RS config is different now it is different. By right, the Management shell has to point the report server config which is installed in the system and that RS pointed to DEV env. But the shell deploying my reports to the server which I configured earlier in RS. This is what my problem is.

If no report configuration was specified for the deployment command, then deploy will read the reporting configuration record set as default and deploy to the ssrs server set in that configuration.  You can check which configuration record is set as default by going to the Tools -> BI tools menu and opening the Report servers form, which will show the reporting configuration records.

The deploy command doesn't search the reporting configuration table for reporting configurations that are associated with the currently active aos instance, it just searches for a reporting configuration where the IsDefault setting is true.

So, in conclusion, you will have to set the -Id parameter to specify the reporting configuration record to use whenever you are deploying to a ssrs server other than the one used in the default reporting configuration record.  There's just no way around that.

    You can use this command

Publish-AXReport –ReportName * -id SSRSCONFIGFROMAX –servicesAOSname AOSSERVERNAME –servicesAOSWSDLPort PORTNUMBERFROMSERVERCONFIGURATION
