You need to Install the latest version and configure the application from the Dynamics application under settings where you will configure the hosted control, etc.

    Hi,

I have faced this issue multiple times. Please validate the below steps

    1. The user has USD Agent Role

    2. If you are using USD Configurations, make sure that this User has a USD Configuration set on the User record that has the required components in it

    3. Make sure the User using which you created/imported the USD components is a part of the same Business Unit as the User trying to use USD. (This happens because USD agent role has only BU level access on all the USD entities)

    how to install USD

    1. download the packages
    2. run the package deployer tool and complete the wizard
    3. install the 64bit version of USD client
    4. once installation is completed the USD client will launch but there will be nothing
    displayed
    5. login to CRM, go to Settings --> Unified Service Desk
    6. Click on "Configuration" and add a new configuration record. name it e.g. Agent
    7. after saving the configuration record, scroll down to hosted controls, events and action
calls section. Add all existing available records under 'Hosted Controls', 'Events' and
'Action Calls'. Repeat same action for all other sections on the form (e.g. add all
    existing records)
    8. Then navigate to Settings --> Security --> Users
    9. Select the CRM user you want to use USD for and then select the "Configuration" record created in step 7 to 8 in the USD Configuration Lookup. Save

    10. Re-open the USD client installed in step 4 and now it will show all the relevant details e.g. dashboard, search, toolbars, chat window etc

First of all, we need to identify that is this problem because of any custom components/configurations you have done. To check that, configure your USD with an OOB configurations organization and see if you are able to repro this issue. If you are able to repro means, the problem is purely with your local system settings. There may be some sort of security/firewall settings are causing problems to load USD. Before going to the next steps, i would suggest you to check your USD with an organization where only OOB USD configurations are there.

    Hi Sir,

Please find two related error screenshots which not let USD Client Application to launch, Can It be due to any issue in "ClientCacheVersionNumber" ? Because in past when we faced these errors, all the users are not able to login USD.

    Hi Sir,

Thanks for sharing your expertise. As suggested, I will delete the ClientCacheVersionNumber from the user setting area and I'll test it to check whether the users are still getting that error on the random basis or not. Can you please highlight concept of Force "Refresh" caching, why & how we can use this.

    Regards,

    Vaneet Kumar

No, The approach is not correct. You have to have cache settings only in Options (as per my exp and according to the MSDN as well).

Just delete all the User settings clientcacheversionnumber records, You don't need them. The user settings record only require if you want to "Ignore"/"Force Refresh" caching. (Typically this is required for the developer user in development environment as in that environment we keep on changing some or the other settings for dev/test purposes and if you ask me I will disable the caching it self for dev env).

For now, I would suggest you to delete all the User settings records where you mentioned Clientcachingversion number, may be this is the route cause of your actual issue as well.

    Hope it helps !!

    Hi Sir,

Please find my inline replies:  "Why do you need to change it in User settings and that too for many users ? -   If you go to Options >> ClientCacheVersionNumber, if you update it here then you have to update the same for all the users in user setting as shown in below screen shot.

    bakri.png

Otherwise there will be a difference in the Options >> ClientCacheVersionNumber & ClientCacheVersionNumber which is present in user setting area for users use as shown in below screen shot.

Please let me know if we are following a wrong approach here.

    Hi

I have tried a lot to reproduce the issue, but no success.

You said resetting the cache number is working fine again. Some how I'm feeling like the cached data in the local is corrupted/not accessible because of some "unknown" reasons might be the reason. However, it should be a change in only one record which is in Options >> ClientCacheVersionNumber, Why do you need to change it in User settings and that too for many users ? Did I miss understand any thing ?
