Error: License Plate Specified on a non-license plate controlled location. Update has been cancelled.

Hello All,

I've setup 2 mobile device enabled warehouses: MWH and M04. When I execute 'Transfer Receipt' on MWH, its working fine. However when I execute the Transfer Receipt (both from normal Warehouse and mobile device enabled Warehouse) in M04 I get the error: License Plate Specified on a non-license plate controlled location. Update has been cancelled.

I have 2 concerns here:

1. When receiving in MWH there is no 'Pick' option. the mobile device directly prompts the Put screen. But in M04, I get a 'Pick' option which gives me the aforementioned error.

2. Is this an issue with my Work template and Location Directive Setup? or am i missing something on the Warehouse? My transfer receipts in MWH are working fine, which causes me to believe this. Below is the link to screenshot of my setup.

Please advise. Thanks!

    Hi Jill,

I don't have anything to check specifically related to transfer orders, but some things to check in general when you see this message:

    • In Warehouse management parameters, check the 'User location' is defined, and that this location profile has 'Use licence plate tracking' ticked.
    • In Setup -> Work users -> Worker, delete the Work user which you are using when you get the error and recreate.
    • On the 'Transfer receipt' work template, check that 'Automatically process' is not ticked.

    Hi Guy,

Thanks for your response. The setup was as you've mentioned. It was something to do with the data related to Work user. As you suggested, recreating the work user solved the issue.

That's good. I believe that there can be problems if you create a mobile device worker before the 'User location' parameter is set.
