Reopening Won Quote

Hi,

Our Sales team is wanting to modify an already Won quote that ended up getting cancelled. It seems the easiest way to accomplish this is by performing an 'Import from Excel', but is this best practice? It feels like a workaround, and I am concerned there could be consequences with data integrity. Any advice on best practice for updating locked down 'Read-Only' records would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Partner,
If the quote has been won or cancelled, it becomes read-only.
In fact, there are four statuses for quotes, and only the draft status supports editing in the form.
If you don't want to change status and edit records, you can try to use this  feature--Open in Excel online(It's also essentially a data import).
change column value as your need:
Or you can try to use workflow to change value if you don't want to use importing feature.

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it answer your question! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah

    Hi Leah,

Thanks for the response! I do not mind making the change by importing or using Excel online. I was mostly wondering if there are any 'gotchas' I should be aware of when doing so (specifically in regards to data integrity across the various tables). If it is safe to perform changes to read-only records this way, then I will inform the Sales staff.

    Thank you,
    Zack
