GP 2010 Manufacturing Routing Notes

Hello:

A GP 2010 client is having an issue with notes for Manufacturing routing sequences.  This started, ever since they upgraded from GP 10.0.

The routing table (RT010130) is assigning NOTEINDX and MFGNOTEINDEX_I values, when no routing sequence notes are present.  In fact, the client got the same results with a note from a routing sequence being copied to a routing where no note was present.

As a temporary band-aid, the client is adding routing sequence notes to all new routings so that a NOTEINDX gets created in the Manufacturing notes table (MN010000) that will match the number issued in the RT010130 table.

These notes ultimately flow to printed manufacturing orders.  And, the bottom line is that wrong notes are being printed for manufacturing orders.

We tried the NoteFix utility, but that did not work. Also, we tried recreate the  two tables in SQL Maintenance.  That did not work either.

Has anyone experienced issues with Manufacturing notes getting out of synch?

John

    John,

Did you ever get to the bottom of this?  I just discovered it on a client -- only a few records (about 40 notes were double or triple assigned)

We are having this same problem.  Did you find a fix?

Hello: I am having the similar issue that Johnellis submitted back in 2013. Routing Sequence Notes are coming up on records that they were not entered on, this is random as I can tell. Does anyone know of a way to resolve this ?
