Different currencies at one on charts

Hi all,

One of my customers asked me if it's possible to show on a chart sales pipeline for opportunities in different currencies and not in base currency. So for example base currency is pound sterling the customer works with us dollars and euro and opportunities have est. revenue in these currencies and the customer would like to see funnel chart with those currencies. But all charts show currency data in base currency, regardless to currency on opportunity.

I wanted to know if anyone had similar case and would share how he or she solved it.

RE: Different currencies at one on charts

You could create a chart that uses something like "Actual Revenue" instead of "Actual Revenue (Base)". But if you are using multiple currencies the results could be confusing / "wrong".

If you have multiple opportunities in different currencies using the base currencies ensures the charts are consistent / accurate.

You could have a view which filters opportunities based on currency. You could then show just Euro etc. By using the "Actual Revenue" rather than "Actual Revenue (Base)". But you would need to ensure your users don't try to use this chart on a view with mixed currency!

I used "Actual Revenue" in my example above as I did spot a "querk" with Estimated Revenue. I found that my pipeline chart only offered "Estimated Revenue" by default. But if I added "Estimated Revenue (Base)" into my view I could then select it. If you can't select the base value for estimated revenue you might need to do the same.
