Is there a way to set the protocol to HTTPS via a script or a reg change?

I need to be able to change CRM to use HTTPS and Port 5443 via a script. I know I can start the "Deployment Manager" select Properties on the far right and then select Web Address. The is a check box for Binding Type  HTTP and HTTPS.

Where does this information get stored? I am not seeing it in the registry.

Thanks

    Good morning OldDog,

Check the Implementation Guide for PowerShell Cmdlets available for that purpose.

    Set-CRMSetting:

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531202(v=crm.6).aspx

Get and Set deployment configuration settings

    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531194(v=crm.6).aspx

As for the place where these are stored, I would advise to open an advisory case with Microsoft for further details on this.

    Best regards,

    Anarud.

Thank you, one problem, When I try to use Get-CRMSetting I get this:

Get-CrmSetting : The operation has timed out. Any ideas?

Did you apply SSL certificate to your crm site? Without applying the SSL to site there is no way to change protocol .

check below and search for applying ssl where it provides all the steps needed to enable ssl on the crm site

I am assuming that you are running the commands on the same machine where the Deployment Management is installed. If so, that is strange and garners further investigation from Microsoft.

Also, take a gander at the following sample:

    technet.microsoft.com/.../gg985381(v=crm.6).aspx

Let me know if it clears up any doubts.
