How to integrate D365 FO with CRM for customer master

HI All,

I have a requirement to integrate D365 FO with D365 CRM.

Can someone please suggest me some MS out of box features via which this can be achieved?

Can I also consider power apps or logic apps for this?

Please give me the best possible approach to achieve the integration.

Objective is to integrate the customer master of CRM with Customer master of D365 FO.

    Before creating a new thread, check whether the same topic wasn't already discussed. It seems to me that you can find an answer in this thread: integration between dynamics 365 FO and Dynamics 365 CRM.

    Thanks Martin I will ensure this going forward.

    Can you please let me If I can go with Dual-Write for below Case?

    CRM has customer master.  SO whenever data update or insertion happens at CRM Customer master then the same I want to be pushed into D365 customer Master? .    I am asking why because Dual-write is a concept the write operations happens at the both system IF I am correct?  However in my case I just want the data to be pushed from CRM to D365 and not from D365 to CRM.  Hence could you please suggest me if Dual-Write is applicable for this?

    Also could you please let me know if I can go with Power apps if Dual-write is not suitable?

    I am new to these technologies hence confused how to proceed further

    Hi D365 Wibes,

    Dual write has the option to update both systems, depending where the change will be done. This is to ensure you have consistent master data. If an address will be updated in F&O, you would probably like to have the same address updated in CRM.

    If you don't want to have updates from F&O to CRM, you can consider not granting permissions to insert, update or delete customers in F&O.

    Power Apps is not an integration tool; it is used for creating apps. Instead, you might consider Power Automate or Logic Apps for an alternative integration implementation. Next to these options, there are other options and ISV vendors to manage integrations.

    So Power app is not suitable for current scenario.

    Then I would prefer going with Dual write.

    Just one more Clarification in Dual write I can configure that no updates from D365 to CRM will be triggered

    Hi D365 Wibes,

    We were able to successfully integrate Customers record from CRM to F&O. If you want the flow of records to be unidirectional, after mapping the fields select the map type and make the sync direction to be from CDS to F&O

    We did refer Microsoft documentation for dual write purpose. Anyways this link has complete procedure in one go.
