Hello,

I want to generate trial balance in my application using Dynamics Ax data. I need the database and SQL information of Trail balance report.

Can anyone give the list of tables used in trail balance or SQL query with all option of trail balance?

Please give details with all options and criteria filters as shown in below image.

It will be so helpful if I get SQL query for above report so that I can easily identified the  parameters to generate the data and also affecting columns to put in where condition.

Thank you.

    Hello Bhavesh,

Why do you need this information and what do you do?

    Best regards,

    Hi Bhavesh,

It is not just one simple SQL query. As you can see, there are many parameters. There is business logic used for calculations next to some database calls. You can try to understand the logic behind this report and then build something yourself. However, why do you need it in another application? What is this app about? Have you thought about security of the data?

    Hello,

We are using .net application with dynamics ax integration and using the 'Microsoft.Dynamics.BusinessConnectorNet' namespace for calling API. So, I need all this information to generate trail balance using the same component.

And I want information regarding tables as well as SQL for reverse engineering when any discrepancy found in report generated with this component.

for e.g. method calling like AxObject.Call(MethodName, parameters)

Can you please provide the information and also information regarding method, parameters etc. if any?

    Thank you.

    Hello Bhavesh Gohel,

    Thank you for this update.

The main question to me still remains, why you have to recreate something that already exists?

Where and for what purposes do you need those data?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Bhavesh,

I don't think someone ever did the same to copy the features of the trial balance to be executed in another application using the business connector.

Why do you need it in another application? I can understand the need of financial reporting using other reporting tools or CPM applications, but not another fully customized app on a technology that is available in your version (business connector), but depreciated in the latest releases.

No, its not the copy of feature or something like that. But our client don't have much experience of Dynamics Ax So, they need some interface to show the data.

We are just pulling the data from dynamics Ax and present them in different way as they required.

    Hello Bhavesh Gohel,

    Many thanks for this update.

If your client does not like the way the data are formatted/presented, have you tried using the other alternative standard reporting tools, such as the Management Reporter?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
