    Hi Smcconnell,

You could refer to the following Official description on Date and time field behavior and format. The time portion of the value should always be12:00AM if the date fields are set to date only. Could you share your D365 Version. Is it Online or On Premise?

    Best Regards

Date only fields have different time values

    Hi,

I have several Date Fields which are set to date only.  it appears some of these have a default time setting of 00:00:00, and some have a 11:59:00.

does anyone know if this is expected behaviour?

    Hi,

If the field format is Date Only then the default time should be 00:00:00 .

As field format (Date Only, Date and Time) can change any time so it might happen that someone changed the field format with date and time .

It depends. If the Behaviour = Date Only, then the time portion should always be 00:00:00. However, if the field has different Behaviour ('User Local' or 'Time Zone Independent') but with the Format = Date Only, then the time portion can differ (if Behaviour = User Local, then it can differ depending on the time zone of the user who saved the record
