Auntimated Cost Adjustment Entry into GL

Posted on by 295

I am seeing general journal entries being prepared automatically related to inventory cost adjustment. The transacton reference begins with "MCLSRCT".I dont know where from its coming and even after posting this trx i am not able to trace back to its origin.

Anyone knows about this ?

Regards

Francis

Actually, David explained it much better than I did in the following posted a couple of days back.   Read through his explaination here.

These entries are automated to help keep inventory accurate.   They occur only with actual or avg costing environments.   I cannot speak for avg costing, but for actual they occur when an item has gone negative or during some rounding occurs, and maybe some others I am overlooking right now.   When the inventory is replenished, and at different costs, the system automatically corrects the cost layers.
