Item Journal Generates Rounding Lines

Hello,

I have an inventory adjustment to make in the item journal:

When I preview posting, I get exactly what I would expect, and then two bonus lines:

Why are these rounding lines created? They're always created for 4/1/24 regardless of my posting date. They are also always the same amount regardless of the quantity I put in the negative adjustment. They also do not carry over the same shortcut dimension codes as the first two lines. I'd like to understand why these lines are generated and how to modify them. We have a requirement to have Gov and Tech codes (dimensions) on every 5*** account, so the first two lines are great, but these bonus lines prevent me from posting when I have those restrictions on. I can turn them off for this manually and correct dimensions later, but I'd like to understand why it's happening so I don't have to do that every time.

Any insight on why those lines show up would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jared

you need to check if the item being adjusted has alternative unit of measure set up on the item card. If it does it's likely the conversion between different UOMs create remainders and BC inserts the lines as a result.

    Hi,
You can check the Rounding Precision of the created Item and the Unit-Amount Rounding on General Ledger Setup.
    I hope this will help.
