Project Quotation

Dear Experts,

Im new to Sales Module in AX and willing to learn it. Was wondering if somebody can help me to explain few things how they all work as I can't get my head around.

Based on BOM: Cost per unit 12.33$ / Sales price per unit 35.14$ (185%)

Cost Groups: MAN Variable Cost & MAT Fixed Cost

Our Prime Unit = Active Standard Cost Price & Unit Price = Sales price (see picture below)

So I created a new Project quotation with 2 lines (same item & qty) with various margins (50% & 40%)

by clicking Update line - based on BOM. I would like to understand how AX is calculating my Unit Price based on my margin % ?

Any suggestions are welcome

Thanks in advance

V

    Hi V,

The form you photographed does not look like the standard AX project quotation form. Do you know what modifications have been made? Probably talk with your ax partner or the one who implemented that.

Would be great if you could keep us updated here.

    Thanks,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

Had to ask our partner support for a help and the way they explained how the unit price is calculated was

"...system is taking the cost price of $1233.45 and if you want to make a 50% margin, $1233.45 represents 50%, so the margin will be $1233.45 approx. If you want to make a 40% margin, $1233.45 now represents 60% and the margin will be $822.3 ... "

Have to mention - margin was added manually.

    Regards

    V
