I found this in human resources and i can add an user to a buyers group; after that, i can choose a "buyers group" in "Product information Management" when i´m creating a new product. thanks for your cooperation.

Hi André,
I am looking for the same filtering functionality but for the vendors that only vendors associated to my buyer group are available in the lookup while creating a purchase order.
Would you know if this exists?
Thank you
Hi, you find the set up in Human Ressources-->Worker-->Ribbon Set up --> Buyer Group
How do set up a new user on the user group
Hi CB0408,
If you enter it on the Vendor card it pulls through there while creating normal PO.
Thanks,
Hi André,
I was wondering if you know where the Buyer Group on a planned or normal Purchase Order pulls through from? I have tried to comepare it by adding the bUyer Group field for both PO and supplier in the PO list page and then looking at the buyer group on the item. It seems like it pulls through if they are the same, however, if the buyer groups on item and supplier do not match, it comes up with a blank value. Do you know if this is a parameter setting? Or would you recommend to only have one or the other? i.e. either Buyer Group on item OR on supplier?
Thanks
Thanks a lot André! you've been pretty helpful.
Hi Antonio,
Be careful, you are changing the subject...
If you are referring to the list page Planned orders, it is possible to add the field Warehouse on the grid using the Dimensions button on the Menu-tab View. Then you should be able to filter on this field.
Otherwise, open the advanced query form and add a new filter on the table Inventory dimensions, field Warehouse.
Thanks a lot André! that combination allowed me filter items by buyer group. Now I need to ask for something, in "Master Plan or Planning" I've filtered by buyer group too :) ...but also need filter by warehouse but in Master plan this field "from warehouse" is inactive or blocked; for that reason isn't possible filter by warehouse. could you help me with this issue? Thanks again.
Hi Antonio,
This is a nice additional question. When you open the item lookup, you can use the key combination CTRL+F3 to open the advanced query form. You are then able to filter on the Buyer group as well.

Hi Antonio,
The next information is given on technet:
Use the buyer group to associate vendors with employees and items. When you create a purchase via item coverage or by estimating production, the buyer group is copied to the purchase header, if no buyer group was set up for the supplier. The buyer group is copied to planned orders and shown on reports.
It is a way to search/filter records to find products, workers or other information based on the Buyer group. There are no functional constraints by default.
[/quote]Hi André, thanks for your response; but this makes me ask another question: ¿can i filter/search items by "buyer group" in "procurement and supply" when i'm creating a pruchase? i think that this way I can see only the items that can buy any buyer according to "buyer group". Please forgive my write spelling, Thakns.
