Misspelled Vendor ID

Hi! How can I change the spelling of a Vendor ID? It's not a name change, it's just an error from when it was initially entered and saved. When I try and change the spelling, it prompts me to a new screen as if I'm adding a brand new vendor which I don't want to do. Any advice? Thanks!

Professional Service Tools Library is a free software that can be used to change that ID for you. If you have customersource, you should be able to download it from there. Just remember - do not update without a back up!

Check with your consultant. Itay be possible to change it with the Professional Services Tools Library or with KeyChange (a third party product.)

Hi,

As far as I know you can't since the vendorID is a key and is used in many tables. If you are 100% sure that it's never been used you could update the field in the database but what I would do is to copy the vendor in a new one.
