GP13 thru GP18 - when saving an employee direct deposit change - Unhandled Script Exception - Bad Datatype detected for operation

Posted on by 445

It seems to be a nuisance message but they have had this issue since they had to turn on HR in GP13.  They have been using payroll for years before that without this issue.  Since then and now even at GP2018R2, they still receive this message when clicking save after changing employee direct deposit information:

Unhandled script exception:

Bad Datatype detected for operation

EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_BAD_TYPE

Although it does actually let them save, they really want this message cleared up and I could not find another article/post on this.  Any guidance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Althea
