CRM 2015 Advanced FInd locks screen

When I click on the Advanced Find icon on the Navigation Bar in CRM 2015, a new window is opened up with the Advanced Find dialog.  However, the browser window from which I opened Advanced Find becomes locked, as if the Advanced Find dialog is a modal dialog. This seems to happen sporadically on my machine. I am running IE 11 on Windows 8.1.  I wish I had more details on when this has been happening, but it has recently been happening more often than not.  I find that I have to open a new IE11 window just to use for opening advanced find windows.

    I had the same issue and Chitrarasan Duraisamy was absolutely right. Do not open your Advanced Find in the Account detail but in Account Entity level ONLY.

    I just use this -> www.magnetismsolutions.com/.../crm-2013-open-advanced-find-from-anywhere-with-bookmarklet bookmarklet from Paul. I don't have any issues with the bookmarklet in CRM2015. Check if you get the same behaviour. If so, it might be a browser issue.

    I think its by design and it makes sense showing advanced find in a modal dialogue when you are in record and in new page when you are in a list of records.

    I am running CRM 2015 7.0.1.129.  This is the "Update 0.1" for on-premise.  Is it possible you saw a hot fix for this?

    If you are on a record and click on advanced find then system will open advanced find in a modal dialogue it will block all other windows. If you are in a view for example in a account view and click advanced find it will open in a new window where you can still work on a view. If you select a account and you are in account form and  you click advanced find it will open advanced find in a modal dialogue window.

    I have a feeling I saw something that said this was resolved in some update or other, but I cannot find it just now.

    What's your version number right now? 7.0.1.x?
