Dexterity Report Writer - Syntax to count body lines then Break

(0) ShareShare

Dear

I am writing a report in Dexterity for an Invoice, and i am facing an issue with the layout

The first page prints with no problem in the layout but once the page breaks the next page pushes down a line and so on on each next page , until several pages later , the Invoice starts in the middle of the Page.

is there some syntax that would allow dexterity to count the number of lines in the body (16 lines to be exact) and then move to the next pages?

your feedback is greatly appreciated

Best Regards

    Hi,

What is the paper size you are printing to (check your print setup)?  I seem to remember this issue if your print setup was set to paper size of A4 instead of the standard "U.S. Letter" paper size.

I also seem to remember there being an a4.cnk for older versions of GP that would correct this problem (I'm not sure about the more recent versions).

What version of GP are you developing in?

    Thanks,

    Justin

    Hi,

I recommend just making a new report in Report Writer for testing purposes.  Does this new report (or any of the existing reports for that matter, such as customer statements, invoices, checks, etc...) behave the same way?

    Thanks,
    Justin

Yes. I agree with Justin point. First try to print any reports and check whether the page layout working fine for others reports or not.

    Hope this helps!!!
