Getting the error "Error after target entity update from submission." in the RTM form submission.

Hello Everyone
 
Since three days we have been experiencing the following error in one form: /Error after target entity update from submission/. The form can als not be resubmitted, the error still remains. 
 
Has anyone a solution to this? Thanks!

    Hi! Thanks for the inputs. Unfortunately, the business rules are not the cause of the problem. What is also very weird, some form submission go trough without any problem and then all of a sudden, the error recurs again. Does someone know if this error has been documented by Microsoft?

    I would suggest looking to see if there are any business rules running on the Lead or Contact table that are making fields required. If there are, it could be that when a form submission occurs and the process runs to create a new record, there is something about that form submission that is triggering the rule to fire. For example, if the Postcode field contains data, make the City field required. If you have the Postcode field on the form, but not the City field, this would cause the business rule to run. When this happens, the process to create the new Lead or Contact record fails, which is why you are seeing your error. 
     
    So check that first and see if that could be the culprit.

    We changed the phone number to a text field in order to avoid this issue. Also the error is not the consent which failed, but the linked entity. We did have the consent failing as well, but at least there the contact entity was generated and linked. In this case the form has no linked contact.

    We are getting this error too.
    It is not email validation, and I cannot see anything wrong with the form submission data.

    Hello,
     
    This may be caused by a wrong phone number format being submitted. The validation of all 'phone number' type fields is set to 'Phone number' by default, which enforces a strict international phone number format starting with the '+' sign. If you disable this validation in the form editor, the Contact Point Creation for that specific phone number in the Consent model can fail. That may trigger this error message.
