Why is plugin's depth value 2 during data import?
Kindly help me with an explanation.

Every time a running plug-in or Workflow triggers another plug-in or Workflow to execute, the Depth property of the execution context is increased. So when you import an Out of box import plugin also runs which in turn triggers your plugin
