Unable to Publish Extension in Business Central Wave 2

Posted on by 423

Hi All..

Previously, I used to access and publish extensions to Business Central Cloud Environment.

After Business Central Wave 2 On Prem installation, while publishing, I'm unable to see the Extension in the Extensions Management in BC Wave 2 On-Prem.

After a while, I tried to do the changes to the BC Cloud Sandbox (Version 14) and tried to publish again. The new changes were not reflecting. In order to test publishing is working fine, I created a new extension and tried to publish it and the same way, this Extension is not available in the Extension Management.

Things followed:

1. AL Language Extension is re-installed in VS Code after BC Wave 2. (Previously BC Cloud was working prior to this activity).

2. Symbols are downloaded as per the project files.

3. While creating the AL Files for Wave2 and Cloud Sandbox, 'Your Own Server' and Cloud Sandbox are selected respectively.

Please find the below images of the Launch.json files for both versions.

BC Wave 2 On Prem: (Version 15)

BC Cloud Sandbox (Version 14):

Kindly help me to identify if I missed any steps in this process.

    Hi,

I do not see any errors in the mentioned link.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

I checked the app.json file. It shows the Version 15 properly.

When I publish, I get the below message(refer the below link) in the Debug Console and then it runs the Customer list page in the BC.

Even If there is an issue in the way I handled BC wave2, the Cloud Sandbox (ver. 14) should be working but both stopped creating the Extensions in the Extension  management.

    Hello,

Via PowerShell you can publish the downloaded source code package to your OnPerm environment. I just did that using the screenshot details you uploaded and it does seem to work fine. I am using different port number and AAD, but the scenario should work fine here.

Is there anything written as an error in the application event log file?

    Thanks.

Do you have a correct app.json file? When you publish from VS Code, do you have some messages or all is correct?
