Can we calculate rate by from state and to state in TMS?

Hello all,

In Japan, transportation  rate is calculated by from state and to state or more lager area category. 

I plan to set up 'Rate master' and 'Break master'  with from state and to state.(such as from Alaska to Alabama even these are states of USA...).

Can we calculate rate by from state and to state in TMS?

I believe  TMS's each engine are based on USA's terms ,so I don't think these engines work well for Japanese requests.

    You should be able to use the PointToPoint rating engine  (P2P, or Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Tms.dll|Microsoft.Dynamics.Ax.Tms.Bll.P2PRateBaseAssigner in full)

    Just make sure you have the states defined correctly in the address book for Japan.

    Not sure why you are trying to somehow reuse the US states - don't do that.

    TMS is not (for the most part) country-specific, so the rating engines will work just fine in Japan as well.

    You can also setup Postal zone master, analogically as for USA and use zone-based system. After quick reading on Wikipedia, I can see that JPN do use postal ranges, but I am not sure how well they map to state/areas.

    I have set it up with 'MileageRateEngine', I will try the advice you suggested.
