Controlling form opening position

Posted on by 1,005

I have several forms for which their opening position is partially off the screen. Is there a way to get the windows to default to opening in the middle of the screen or last position used? I'm running SL 6.5 via Remote Desktop.

The incorrect screen positioning may be happening because users have the "Save Settings On Exit" clicked on and then they move the screen to where it is now and then close the screen. The screen will be in that position when they open it the next time. To make the screen postion correct, make sure "Save Settings On Exit" is clicked on, open the screen, drag it to where you want it, and close the screen. Do this for all the screens that are in the wrong position. After all the screens are in the correct position, click the "Save Settings On Exit" off, and click the "Save Options".

As a matter of standard practice most sites advise users to not leave "Save Settings On Exit" on.
