I use MR2012 CU13 with AX2009 but I can't connect to MR2012. For this version, There are no MR license.

I don't know which user group on AX2009 can connect to MR2012. I try on Admin user group.

The database server could not be found or access was denied.

The database is different, the dimension framework is different, the user licensing is different, the security is different.......Ax 2009 is no longer officially supported but if your BREP is up to date then Microsoft might provide you a license - there are still some Ax 2009 users with MR.

Otherwise you might need to look at export and import via Excel with a Link Type of External Worksheet. (you can probably also just copy and paste it) -  see blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../creating-consolidated-financial-statements-using-management-reporter-consolidating-with-data-in-a-non-dynamics-erp-part-5-of-7

    Hi,

What AX2009 version do you operate?

If you are on a version older than AX2009 RU8 then you cannot use it in combination with MR 2012 CU13.

    For details, please see:

    blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../management-reporter-versionfeatureerp-compatibility-summary-overview

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

I can solved  this issue by set read permission on AX database (SQL Server) for who run MR report.

Then user can connect to MR.

Thank you very much for your help.
