Hi all,

When I am trying to update valid time state table using ValidTimeStateUpdate::CreateNewTimePeriod) mode an error is returned as below:

Message=Cannot edit a record in Category change status (VendProcurementCategoryStatus). 'Expiration' column cannot be updated in change tracking mode.

Any hint?

I have the same question (0)

Error says that you cannot update if change tracking is enabled. May be you can disable that and try.

    Hi Waed,

I think you are trying to update "Valid to" (Expiration date). You cannot update the valid to in valid time state table since it will adjust automatically.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

Hi, Are you trying to update manually or through data entity and what values are you updating in Valid from and Valid To dates.

I think if you want to update the valid to the future date then it can be done only in the Correction mode. You cannot do that in a Create new time period mode as the valid to will be automatically update based on the scenario.

    Thanks,

    Girish S.

As Girish mentioned, please try Correction mode and also check this thread

Also, as per this thread you can't update both ValidFrom and ValidTo fields at same time.

    Hello Waed,

Since you are trying to update the field and not newly creating , the validTimeStateUpdateMode should be Correction.
