How to repair Application class which is corrupted through wrong code? AX client not opening.

Hi All,

AX Client is not opening due to wrong code in Application class. Any suggestions to clean up the application class??

Tried to import the Application class from different environment through model via command prompt. Ended up with conflicts but no success.

Please guide me to restore the application class or any other way to open the client, so that can remove wrong codes from the class.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it worked after using Conflict: Overwrite.. Before i used CONFLICT:PUSH , but this made AOS not to restart.

You can also try to start the AX client from command line with -noauto option. You can learn more about it in Client configuration commands.

You could create an entire new model with an Application class that works, and import this model using the -Conflict Overwrite option. That will get you into AX so you can fix the problem.

You imported those customizations from some other environment, right? So simply import them again after fixing the situation.

Thanks Nikolaos. Will try the second option..

There is also one concern, we have imported few more customization (which are correct ones) to the corrupted environment. If we do remove the model and import from other environment then we will loose those things..

Any suggestions for this?

If we dont have any options then i will have to remove the model and import as per the 2nd point.

Ah, that is a good point :)

Then your have two options:

1) Overwrite the model where this customization is, a model from another environment. You already tried this apparently.

2) Remove the model where this customization is. Now you should be able to open the client. Next you need to import this model from some other environment where it doesn't contain this harmful customization.

If you wish to simply remove customizations from the Application class, select it in the AOT and click Delete button. Then compile it. Now you should be able to open the client.
