Hello experts,

I’m facing some challenges with the PFE material consumption feature.

I have a formula line with the “Finish” flushing principle assigned to operation 10 (the first one). When I RAF this operation and an error occurs during posting—either with the picking list journal or the RAF journal—the RAF process is aborted, but the picking list journal is not deleted. Someone then has to manually go into the UI and delete the journal.

Am I missing a configuration that could prevent this behavior or ensure a proper rollback?

Hi,
When using flushing principle = Finish with Report as Finished (RAF). If the RAF process fails—due to inventory or posting errors—the picking list journal generated during the process is not automatically rolled back or deleted.
Currently, there’s no out-of-the-box configuration that guarantees full rollback of both the RAF and the picking list journal.

Review the production parameters and error causes to ensure validation occurs before RAF (e.g., material availability).

You could also switch to manual consumption for tighter control if errors are frequent.

If this scenario happens often, it’s worth logging as a product ticket to MS asking their point on this. Maybe they will consider this as bug and add in future releases.
