Adding column to system view

I'm trying to add the column "company name" to a system view I created called "My Open Leads."  When I go in to add the column, "company name" is not an available column header.  However, if I try to add the column to my personal view, it is an available column.  Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong???

    Hello,

If the column is not available in the list it "normally" means the column is already in the view. Take a hard look at the view to make sure this is not the case.

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your response.  I just checked & it is not part of the current view.

    Hello,

For lead, company name is on the system view by default. Please ensure that the company name field's display name has not been changed. If you are adding the company name field to a related entity you will need to change to the lead entity from within the "add column" option, see below:

I have seen this as well. There are only 3 OOB system views that use Company Name (Lead Advanced Find, Lead Lookup, and Quick Find All Leads). I have not found how to add the missing Company Name field to other system views, but I did find a work around.

I was able to create a new (from scratch, I have not tested creating using Save As) system view to mimic the original view and include Company Name as a column. Save, Publish, then you will see the results.

Thank you!  I did change to the lead entity & it doesn't appear that the display name has been changed.  I will use the work around suggested above (thanks, GL_Mike!), but it would be great to know if there is something we're missing so we don't have to re-create views going forward.

    Hello,

I have come across this issue, I would like to point out that the company name was never a part of the view in CRM 2013, I checked in both RTM and with UR 1. It has always been this way, although this was a part in CRM 2011.

I am not sure if this is an issue or the way it is supposed to behave in CRM 2013.

If I find this out, I will post again.

    Thanks,

    Rob Moses

Sometimes it happens and you can't see the company field , the easy way is to create a new view that you will see it.
