Inactive accts appear on trial balance

I have accounts in my general ledger the are balance sheet accounts which offset each other to equal zero and I would like them not to appear on my trial balance. I tried to make them inactive but they still appear showing that they are inactive accounts. One account has a debit balance and the other two accounts are credits which offset the debit. Is there a way to not have them appear. I don't want to delete the account for historical purposes. I am using GP2013

Hi Phyllis,

In the Trial Balance Report Options window do you have the option to Include Inactive Accounts marked? If so you will want to unmark it so that those inactive accounts are not showing on the report. I hope that information helps!
