Calculate sales price from cost using product configurator based on attribute values

Is it possible while using the product configurator, to use the cost price of an item and add further costs to it (based on the attributes selected) to derive the sales price.

I could see an option in the versions of configurator where the field called costing method has an option of "cost based", but was not able to configure it to meet the objective. please suggest
