Folks I am part of a project for a University that is creating a student wellbeing app. We are using the cut down Universal resource scheduling in D365 to allow students to make appoinment bookings online. I can make an appoinment via a student portal but to my knowledge there is no user guide to assist with all the configuration steps / combinations possible. The product can work but its easy to break the process by selecting a diferent config. No error message is displayed. I can see guides for Field service but not Universal resource scheduling. What training materials or user guides are there?
One example I can configure bookings for a mental health service . I create an organisation unit . I link it to an advisor (bookable resource type user) I also link it to a room (bookable resouce type facility). I have location agnostic and latitude and logitude as 0.0 I can make a booking but to roll it out to a large student population. I dont seem to have mutiple advisors availabe for mental health suport service where the student can select one or the other Advisor.
second exmaple If I search for available bookings over a 5 day period i can select apoinments for each day at 9am but i would expect to see avilability for 10 am , 11am ,12 pm etc for each day but Im only seing 5 choices available . As it stands I think think the product will not be adopted by staff providing studnet support as its not robust enough.
I'm happy to work to get the product more robust and maybe used as a worked example in time for a January 2023 rollout. Any advioce much appreciated
UPDATE: Thanks for the information with links. I think I've most issues resolved. In my example the org unit is the same for all booking resources wherether online or in person. .Advisors can have mutiple resource categories eg counselling and counselling online . I then have a list of advisors in the resource preference subgrid with the Preference type = "must choose from"
The results provide a selection of appropriate advisor and variety of rooms in 1 hour time slots
