Workflow not firing from business process flow

Hi all.

I have a task to run a workflow after business process flow finishes. The strange thing is that the was working and stopped from nothing. To setup this workflow was a problem too, because it started working from nothing as the same way.

What i have already tried:
- Put the workflow to run Sync and Assync
- Put the workflow to run as a child process and not.
- Put the workflow to run for entire organisation.

I have already tried to get the statusChange with javascript but when the status change to complete, the javasript do not run.

Note: I'm using a trial version for 365.

    Hi,

Did you try to do it this way: blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../business-process-flow-automation-in-dynamics-365

    Hi.

Yes, but did not work too.

    Any other idea?

I'm doing some tests here, and i find the problem is happening only with "Completed trigger".
The trigger (Process applied) above is working fine.

You will have to create the workflow on the business process flow status change.

eg: Opportunity entity has the business process flow name Sales Process. Automatically an entity called sales process will be created. write a workflow to run the task on the change of Sales Process flow status.

I had the same issue and managed to find a work-around:

Create a workflow based on your BPF entity

    Make it background process

trigger on modification of process : statuscode

Add a condition to check if the statuscode = closed

if true, do what your "finance approve" workflow was doing

Thank you for the answers guys. I will try those approaches ASAP, and after that i came here to put the resolution.

    Regards.

    That helped me a lot!

I used the same workaround as I was facing the same issue, the global workflow in the BPF did not trigger although all conditions were met (on-demand workflow, main entity chosen).

The solution was to create a workflow based on a statuscode change of the BPF entity.
