Locked Out! - Maximum Number of Users Logged In

HELP!  My Great Plains locked up this morning while I was doing something, and I had to get out of the program using Task Manager.  Now I can't get back in.  When I try to log in, it gives me the error message "The maximum number of users are logged into the system."  The only option is to click "OK".  When I do that, it dumps me completely out of the program.  How can I get back in?

What version of GP? You can go into SSMS and run this script  DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY.

Make sure no one is I GP when you do this.

The later versions of GP would sense this and then present a screen where you could delete yourself from GP.

    Great Plains 10.0

I'm the only one on Great Plains, so there would be nobody else in the system.

Can you help me understand what SSMS is and how to get to it?  Is it Sequel Server?  I know that I've got Sequel Server, but I've never really dealt with it.

I did some googling and found my way into my Sequel Server Management Studio.  It's an older version.  So when you say "run this script", would that be a new query?  I'm very hesitant to work with this, as I know zero about what I'm doing.

You need to get someplace where you can run a query. If you have a really old version of SQL it will be called Query Analyzer or the new version SQL Management Studio. You need to type this in the query are

DELETE DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY and then click Execute or F5.

You can also accomplish the same thing by logging into GP as someone else and going to Tools->Utilities->System->User Activity and delete your session from there.

Whew!!!  I'm in!  Thank you so much.  I really hesitated to hit that "execute" button, because I wasn't sure I was doing it right.  But it worked perfectly.

    Thanks again!

Welcome to the club, Annie. We have all had to do this at one time or another.
