    RE: Headquarters Client Run-time Error

We had a slimier issue happened two times. First time it was caused by installing Epson OPOS 2.70 application. So we roll back to version it was before...2.64 something..

Then removing HQ cleint from windows uninstall and reinsalling it.

Second it happened due to NEC Pole display driver.. again we had to do the same to get HQ client up and running.

However I m not sure whether you are using epson, but this error comes as you said when HQ clients DLLs get modified by another application or update. Try to roll back the updates if you didnt install anything recently.

    Shawn,

Thanks for your reply.  The HQ Client is installed on the same server where HQ database is running.  We have tried reinstalling the HQ Client several times and also, rebooted the server after installation but the same error came up.  Previously, it was working without any issues and we suspect that some Microsoft update to the server rendered some DLLs inconsistent with the HQ Client dlls.  Other other RMS functions are working fine except the HQ Client.

    Hi Xumsoft,

This is a generic error message that could be caused by the Network, to  a table in the database.  If you are getting this error when first starting the program I would suggest un-install the HQ Client and reload it.  Also make sure you can ping the computer that holds your database.  Would be helpful if you could provide a bit more information about if the program was working before or is this a message you get after you installed it.

    Hope this helps

    Shawn
