Non-Interactive User Disabled when their license was removed

I set up a non-interactive User by assigning it a license, waiting for it to appear in CE and setting it to non-interactive, then removing the license. At the same time I added a Security Group for the environment, which the non-interactive User is a part of. The User was then disabled in the CE environment. Does anyone know what I did wrong? Anyone else experience this?

I have the same question (0)

    Hey!

ON PPAC you can verify the status (diagnose user). It will check if the user is enabled on AD, if it has a valid license and if it belongs to the sec group.  If you login to the environment and you can see the user as "disabled", ensure that it still has the "Non-Interactive" tagged.

    Thanks for the reply Daniel!

The diagnostic on the Power Platform Admin Center for the user doesn't give a lot of additional information. It just says that it is blocked form signing in, which we know, and that its access mode is non-interactive, which we want.

Beyond that it says that "This user has an active license or the environment has per app plans" and "This user is a member of the environment's group".

So any tips on what else I should check or change?

    Hey.

When you indicate that the account is "blocked for sign in" what do you mean? Does it mean

This setting?  Please note that in M365, clicking on "Block sign in" is similar to AzureAD/LocalAD "Disable user" option. This means the user is Blocked/Disabled.  Because of this condition, user is considered disabled in AzureAD and therefore, tagged as disabled in Dynamics.

Thanks Daniel - that was the problem! I should have realized it myself, but I appreciate you taking the time to help.
