Activities not showing under account

I am trying to get an activity (appointment) to show up under the account that it is assigned to. I am setting the regarding field to an opportunity and assigning a contact to it.

I want to be able to see the activity when I look at activities for :

- Account

- Opportunities

- Contact

I am not seeing anything on how to do this, any help would be greatly appreciated. I am a newbie with MS CRM.

    Hi Lou,

This is designed to work as you desire it to work.   Is your Opportunity associated with a Contact or Account?  Are you putting the Contact in the Required attendees on the Appointment?

The opportunity is in the regarding field and the contact is in the required field and the account is in the account field, but when I try to view the activities for the account this activity does not show up.

Hmm...it should work.  Where are you looking at the Activities on the Account?  Are you looking on the left Navigation under Activities or did you create a sub-grid?  A sub-grid can only show Activities that are directly related to the Account.

If you are looking on the left navigation at Activities, can you confirm that Related Regarding is selected on the top right?

    Hi.

Have you changed the filter of the view to ALL? The default in CRM is "Next 30 days". If you change the filter to all it should appear.

I am looking at the left submenu Activities and did not create a sub grid. The filter is changed to all and including the Regarding, but this opportunity is set in the regarding field of the activity not the account.

Is this occurring on all your activities or just this particular activity?  Can you verify the Contact is under this Account on the Contacts area?  There is not a duplicate of that Contact possibly?
