Dear Community.

I wish to know how do you handle spammers in D365 for Marketing?

is there a way for me to block a specific email address in D365fM, such as having a blacklist in D365?

Thank you!

BR,

C.

    Hey Catermina

Setting up a lead matching strategy that includes email can help ensuring no duplicate leads are generated with the same email - docs.microsoft.com/.../mkt-settings-matching  (Unless of course you want multiple leads for the same person).

Beyond that you will have to set up some custom workflow to identify potential spam emails. Unfortunately there is nothing built in to help with that.

If there are specific scenarios you have in mind please submit an idea on the ideas forum - experience.dynamics.com/.../

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi, Catermina

I'm sorry that I cannot fully understand the scenario you're describing.

Can you cite me a practical example?

    Looking forward to your reply.

    Best Regards,

    Nya

    Thank you so much Nya,

How to prevent spammers that fill in our contact forms? How to prevent that a spammer that already filled in one of our contacts forms is blocked from contacting us thru the Marketing forms of D365 for Marketing?

    Thank you so much

    Hi, Catermina

May I know if the blacklist you set up is for incoming or outgoing emails?

For outgoing emails, you can use the Suppression segment in Customer Journey to block sending emails to certain people.

A journey's suppression segment contains a list of contacts that the journey won't send any messages to, even if those contacts are also included among the segments explicitly targeted by the journey, and even if those contacts are already partly through the journey.

    1. New a Customer Journey to send emails.

    1. Set the Suppression segment in the General tab

    1. Set the time of sending and the Content settings. Check for errors and Go live it. The emails will be sent bypassing the Suppression segment you have set up.

For incoming emails, it can be set in specific mailbox server or client by blocking individual email addresses or trying to get their IP address or domain off of a global spam blacklist. Please consult your mailbox provider for details on how to set up.

If this helped you, I'd appreciate it if you'd mark this as a Verified Answer, which may in turn help others as well.

    Best Regards,

    Nya
