Invalid shipping method (SHIPMTHD)

Hello Guys, 

I need help with the a couple of errors I am getting recently when integrating into GP using eConnect. 

Error with POPTransactions

Sql procedure error codes returned:

Error Number = 989  Stored Procedure taPoLine  Error Description = Invalid shipping method (SHIPMTHD) - it does not exist in the Ship Method Master Table - SY03000

Node Identifier Parameters: taPoLine                                           

Error with SOPTransactions

Sql procedure error codes returned:

Error Number = 927  Stored Procedure taSopLineIvcInsert  Error Description = Shipping Method does not exist

Node Identifier Parameters: taSopLineIvcInsert                                 

Weird part about these errors are, these started out of the blue. 

Can someone help me in understanding these errors ?

    Have you check with my earlier reply?

    I have doubt that SHIPMTHD assign to Customer might be deleted from the SHIPMTHD master table i.e. SY03000

    I was not supplying the ShipMethod. Once I did, it worked.

    I am concerned why it happened in the first place.

    You are right SHIPMTHD is not mandatory to pass.

    Can you please check whether SHIPMTHD is available in SY03000 with respect to Customer Maintenance window SHIPMTHD .

    Thanks guys, 

    I was thinking of the same thing.

    But the weird part is, I was not passing any ship method and the eConnect's programming guide mentions that the ship method is not mandatory and it inherits from the customer number. Also, we starting getting the errors starting yesterday and the process has been in place for atleast 2 years now. We never had any issue with it. This is what is bugging me. Any ideas ?

    Hi Drifter,

    Adding my 2 cents; as almas mentioned shipping method should be existing in GP in order to successfully integrate your POP & SOP Trx.

    You can write piece of eConnect integration code for shipping method to be created if it does not exist in GP on top of your eConnect POP & SOP Trx integration code.

    The best thing about creating a shipping method is that it requires only shipping method field value.

    The shipping method you are providing to the eConnect doesn't exist in GP. GO to Tools>>Setup>>Company>>Shipping Method and create the shipping method.

     

    Or check the Customer Vendor you are using are assigned with Shipping Method or not.
