Lookup for Unit price in Purchase line

Hi everyone,

I have one requirement to resolve in Microsoft Dynamics ax 2009. After creating Purchase order from Approved Indent.

In Purchase line, we want a lookup(In that lookup, i want Vendor account, Item description and unit price ). Is it possible for add lookup (real edit data Type)?

For example:

1) PO1:

Vendor: V1, Item Id: I1 , UnitPrice : 10

2) PO2:

Vendor: V1, Item Id: I1, UnitPrice: 10

3) PO3:

Vendor: V1, Item Id: I1, UnitPrice:?

In PO3 , want to choose Unitprice in lookup according to the Previous PO unit price . If i want unitprice as 10 for PO3, I will choose Unit price in lookup otherwise i will give new unit price for the PurchLine.

Important: Why am i am this question is, Previous purchase order( vendor , item id and unit price is same ), so if i want same unit price for this purchase line i will choose in lookup otherwise i will enter new unit price.

How to create a lookup for a field ,in that lookup values will get from same table?

Hi Vignesh,

The requirement sounds a bit strange. If you are using trade agreements, you can setup a unit price per vendor/item combination. This will then be defaulted on the line. When it needs to be changed, you can then override the unit price. This is standard functionality; then you don't have to do a customization here. Or what is the exact business requirement if you can't use the standard?

Hi,

You can use the edit method created in the table to set the value, and overwrite the lookup method in the control on the form to display the list.

I want lookup to unit price field in purchase line (Purchase order form). That lookup data will come from same purchase line according to previous purchase order.

Hi Andre,

I have created one table and put this three variable value into the table (vend Account, Item Id , Unit Price). Now I want a lookup in Unit Price field at purch Table form.

How to get a value and put into the unitprice lookup? If you now please suggest me a solution.
