Import Purchase order using Excel templates

Hi,

I'm trying to import purchase order in AX 2009 using excel template. I manually create the purchase order header in AX and then import the PurchLine using the same PurchId.

I create the purchase order as a journal (so when i will switch to purchase order type, it will generate the invent trans, that way i don't have to create it). However, when i switch the type, I receive the error "Lot Id is not specified" and I cannot move forward.

Is there a specific field I should be populating in the PuchLine template? or another table?

Some help would be much appreciated!

Hi Caroline;

This is a common one, happens on AX 2012 as well when you bring in a line through AIF or excel caused by no record in PurchLineForeignTradeCategory table related to the PO line added.
