Business Central/D365 Sales Coupled Salepeople

Hi,

I have a client who have something like this setup within BC to handle Salespeople Codes;

Code 1 = Person A

Code 2 = Person B

Code 3 = Person C

Code 4 = Team D (managed by the three salespeople mentioned above).

This as never caused a problem within NAV/BC but the client has now purchased D365 Sales and are in the process of setting up coupled records. They have successfully coupled 1,2 and 3 against the three licensed D365 Sales Users but can't couple 4 because it's not a user within D365.

Has anyone managed to get around this or do they need to purchase a 4th licence purely to couple this record (seems excessive to have to purchase a 4th license)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Though Code 4 is not a salesperson as in being a human being, it is added as if it were a separate salesperson. If customers have been assigned this specific salesperson code and if you would like to sync the records, it does need a D365 for Sales license as salespersons must be coupled as part of the requirements.

The official answer is ofcourse to be found in the licensing guide.
