We are using BC365 finance. I want to limit access so certain users cannot have access to financial information such as GL account balances chart of accounts etc running financial reports. If they are posting a SO or invoice I’d like them to be able to view the GL entries. I know Incan give them a profile that doesn’t show these options but that doesn’t stop someone putting it in the search line. What table data do I need to exclude ?

Hi,

Your question is bit broad and did not asks about specifics. In dynamics the access is manged by Security Roles.

If you can show us which screen/search you are talking about and which security role this user is suing, we can suggest more.

A general answer is, you need to remove the full access, and provide read only access.

This is a duplicate of Limiting access. I think that BC365 means D365 Business Centralk, therefore this is a wrong forum.

Hello,

Restrict these tables in your permission set:

G/L Account (15) – hides Chart of Accounts and balances.

G/L Entry (17) – set to Indirect Read so users can drill down only.

G/L Register (45) – blocks register lists.

G/L Budget Entry (96) – hides budgets.

Acc. Schedule Name/Line – blocks financial report setup.
Remove Execute from financial report pages (Trial Balance, Account Schedules).
This keeps posting access but hides financial data.
