Hide non-relevant fields and sections from the workers profile

Hi Gents,
I would like to know if there is a possibility of hiding the following fields/sections that are not in use or should not be seen by any workers:
  • Personnel number which is assigned automatically to each worker;
  • Certificates and Courses;
  • Compensation and pay statements.
The goal is - me as Admin would like to customize/hide those sections once for each standard user/worker.
Is it possible in MS Dynamics?

Thanks.
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Community member,

    Yes, you can hide it using code by using Extension of the form and set the visible property to No, but here you should take care if the fields visibility are set by code, in this code you should write code to hide it.

    Check the following blogs for hide using COC extension:

    Another way to do it using personalization and publish the changes to all users (You should have an admin role).

    Thanks,
    Waed Ayyad

    Hi,
    You can refer to this blog: dynamicspedia.com. You can control whether the field is hidden by tables and field security, when you want to hide fields that are not directly bound to a table field, you need to change form control properties. This post will explain how to secure fields, form controls, and an easy way to apply this scenario to the users.
    Best regards,
    Kevin

    Hi @Waed Ayyad,

    thanks for your help.
    Unfortunately, I have no access to the code - I can't modify any codes or selects from the database.
    I just use MS Dynamics 365 as an admin user.
    And my question was if it is possible to hide some non-relevant fields and sections for other users in my company just using some settings in MS Dynamics 365 without changing any code.

    Thanks and kind regards,
    Taras.

    Hi,

    Yes, as I told you on my previous comment. You can do it using personalization and publish the changes to all users (You should have an admin role).

    This is something you should be controlling with the role based access of D365F/SCM.

    The security roles assigned to users, define what they are allowed to access.

    You will need to ensure that no access is granted to the areas mentioned, except on the security roles which actually should have access.
