Filter On One Entity Based On Another

I have a quickie - and I know its relationship based. I have around 30000 leads in CRM. And I have a list of 400 people in Excel who are among that list of leads - and I am looking to isolate those 400 records from the leads entity. I have created a separate entity into which I plan to upload the excel list. I have created a second field in the new entity as a look up to Leads.

Just looking for a quick suggestion on setting up the query/filter that will allow me to display a view in Leads that only shows those people who are on the excel sheet.

Thanks

Noel

    Hello Noel Burns,

By considering that the new entity name is Classes,at the Filtration Criteria of the Lead View select the related entity (Classes (Lead)), then select the lookup field on Classes (I named it Lead), show only the records where the Lead filed at Classes entity contains data ( which is linked with Lead entity) as below :

But keep in mind that the relation between Lead entity and your new entity is one to many, that's mean you can not add the new entity (Classes) fields as a columns on any of the leads view!

Other option : you add a new field into Lead form (Lead Category) then import your list to the Lead entity with giving them a specific category, then at the Filtration Criteria of the Lead View make a filtration based on Lead Category filed :)

    Hope this helps,

    Abed.

Select the "leads" in the look for drop down. in the condition section click on select and go all the way down where you see "Related" underneath this you will see your custom entity name ( Lead ) , choose that value and click on results that will show only leads that are related to your custom entity.
