Is there a way to delete customer accounts in Great plains such that the customer no longer appears on the aged trial balance report without impacting the general ledger? The customer account has transactions and a balance.

if you mark a customer inactive, its balance would still form part of the total AR as being seen in the ledger, but it would still show on your aged trial balance report because it still has a balance.

you can write it off but then that impacts your AR, but then it would be taken of your aged balances report.

Hi. It all depends if you want to maintain the customer history or not.If you do want the customer history, you can simply make the customer inactive.This will disable the customer from being appeared in the Trial Balance. If you do want to delete completely, you need to wait till the year end.complete the year end procedures.then goto tools--> utilities--> sales--> remove transaction history and select the customer you want to delete,make sure you check " transactions" ,"distributions" and click process. once done,you will be able to delete the customer. cheers..
