    morphx replaced by html Ui

    layered code replaced by extensions

a lot more tools in the cloud

can't access the production instance direct in the cloud  e.g for interfaces, BI,

document attachments in azure blob storage

significantly different, more complex, and more costly licensing

access to a  wide range of azure services and tools

different approach to code updates and frequency.

    Hi Darshan,

The main differentiator is that Dynamics 365 is a completely web- and cloud-based solution, whereas AX is primarily a desktop-based application, with some web and mobile add-on components.

It also has tight integration with other parts of the Dynamics 365 family, such as CRM, so you get an end-to-end business solution containing ERP and CRM. With AX you had to use Dynamics CRM separately, which was not really integrated.

Here is another articles that briefly introduces:

    Best Regards,

    Hi Darshan19,

    In addition:

You can read the what's new pages: docs.microsoft.com/.../whats-new-changed

Also read about the list with deprecated features: docs.microsoft.com/.../deprecated-features

    And the postponed features: docs.microsoft.com/.../ax-2012-features-not-implemented-but-not-deprecated

    Hi Darshan,

There may not exists a single list that would provide you all the differences. See if below helps:

    www.erpsoftwareblog.com/.../

D365FO starting codebase was from AX2012 R3, after that lot of additions have been made. To view what all has been added, refer to release notes. These release notes may not list everything but gives you good idea. Your question is too broad for a product like Dynamics 365 FO (oh... the name changes recently), focus on what module/functionality you should target.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../

    docs.microsoft.com/.../

    Thanks,
